Bodywork
My bodywork sessions combine massage, myofascial release techniques, breath, movement and nervous system awareness.
Myofascial Energetic Release, or MER, is a form of deep, therapeutic bodywork that works with the muscles (myo) and the connective tissue that surrounds and supports all muscles, organs and structures of the body (fascia).
Using slow, attentive touch, pressure, stretching and movement, MER helps soften areas of restriction and tension in the body. It can feel like a deep form of massage, but it is also more than massage. Rather than simply working on individual muscles, it works with the body and mind as a connected whole. The aim is not to force release or push through pain, but to create enough safety, presence and contact that the body can begin to soften, unwind and reorganise in its own time.
For some people, the work is mainly physical: less pain, more movement, better posture, easier breathing. For others, it can also open emotional material held in the body — sadness, anger, grief, laughter, relief or a sense of coming home to yourself.
“You're in safe hands with this incredibly intuitive bodyworker.”
